15 Attributes of God Discussion

It is my plan to post all of the passages in the Bible that I find to be the most influential. I will make comments as I go and I will seek both my own understanding and to understand how or why others may agree or see things differently. The post before this on lists 15 attributes of God. It comes from a page called Bible Study Tools and is proudly Christian. It draws these attributes from the Bible and I consider this a sincere and accurate collection of attributes of the God in which Christian’s believe and place their faith. As I read them there is not one thing I don’t agree with. I find the list wonderful and inspirational. I find this as a person who does not need God to be Supernatural. As spectacular as these attributes are they are super human not super natural. For me that is important because I think that it is important, as is stated in Genesis, that we are to be as Gods, to know the difference between Good and Evil and to Choose Good as God Chooses Good.

As  I delve deeper into the Bible looking for the 10 Commandment’s, John 3:16, The Lords Prayer, the Sermon on the Mount. Does the Bible condemn homosexuality or sex? Recently there have been major headlines about sex abuse in the Catholic and now the Southern Baptist Christians. 

I will be looking for these attributes. I’ll be asking where, when how and why have we gone astray.
