Dare I say our second choice was our best choice… I mean we’re here at the beach. We want to experience the best of the beach so we headed out to Bowen Island but after 15 minutes on the ramp and guesstimate another 45 to the door we turned around and spotted Lolo’s on the way back onto Folly. We were greeted, seated and sipping our margaritas within minutes and chowing down on the best fried oysters I’ve ever had. All this while sitting on the dock of the bay, the melody in my mind, as we watched the birds competing for a better view of the sunset that we already had. Visit Lolo’s, you’ll be glad you did.
We returned for a second time and this is our last night in Folly so it had to be special.
If you want to get away from it all and just relax in peace and serenity to enjoy a wonderful seafood dinner skillfully prepared with the finest local ingredients, Lolo’s is where to go. We were seated by request again on the west deck of the building where the setting sun illuminated the sky with hues of garnet and gold bidding us a fond farewell from our island paradise.
Our waitress was delightful and so much fun. I asked her, tongue in cheek, why we should get two pieces of key lime pie to take home with us. Well, she said, not missing a beat, I eat it for breakfast soooo… we laughed so hard we cried and now I can’t wait to get up in the morning for breakfast 😉
