Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a Department of Pardee Hospital

I am a senior citizen. I can’t escape that fact because baby boomers are now aging out. Nonetheless I am very active and prided myself on hiking and biking about 30 miles a week. Well all that came crashing down with a 20 mile ride on the Ecusta that culminated in severe pain in my left leg. Two months I have been nursing this thing and wondering how the heck could a strained muscle cause this much pain? Dr. Jones patiently listened to my story but within a few minutes and a few tests looked me square in the eyes and said, I think it’s your sciatic nerve. Suddenly in a moment of clarity it all made sense. I’ve now completed an MRI and I will return to Dr Jones and the others at Southeastern to determine our next steps. I have found the whole process to be fully professional and personable. I am very thankful to have such quality care providers here in Hendersonville and I am optimistic for a full recovery.
I also want to give honorable mention to the young lady who was manning the front desk on our first visit. She was very personable and professional and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. That is not an easy job dealing with people who are waiting on the intake side while answering to the people doing their jobs on the treatment side. Our thanks to you for doing it all so well.
