This is a voice message left on my phone. She is telling me that my purchase of a game console is being processed for over 900 dollars. Certainly this would get my attention and I would want to resolve it But This is a Total Scam to get me to call their number. Do Not Fall For This Scamming Tactic. I did Not Buy this Item or anything at Walmart recently so that’s a clue but I am getting calls like this everyday with different ploys; my card is being billed for an item or service, my refund is being processed, etc. etc. These scammers sound very professional. They provide you with a customer service number and if you call they will give you an employee number and know Exactly what to say in order to get you to trust them with your real credit card or bank account number so they can “process” your “refund” when in fact they are getting deeper into your private data. I think it’s worth knowing that these scammers are working 24/7 and using very sophisticated methods to steal from honest and unsuspecting citizens/consumers. I am posting this simply as one example and may post others as I receive them but as the old adage goes, “Buyer Beware” or in this day and age If you receive an email, a text or Phone call… Beware and do Not fall into their trap.
