We love our Bolt and it has been the nicest car we’ve ever driven after decades of very nice Hondas but… the issues raised are real and we don’t know if the ev future is as golden as hoped for. I charge at home and 99% of my driving is within 50 miles. I’ve also had no problems starting or driving in the coldest or hottest weather I’ve encountered in North Carolina but I can see where driving long distances or in extreme temperatures might present problems. The power grid and the source of initial energy will also need to be upgraded. I’m hoping that nuclear fusion, once always the future of power, will become a safe and reliable source. I guess time will tell.
